The hosts are great and very accommodating with our three dogs. The place has quality furniture and appliances, loads of space, and two en suite bathrooms. The log burner makes the lounge lovely and cosy in the evenings. It’s a perfect base for exploring the Peak District, and this was our second stay. Still just as good, and we’ll definitely be back next year. We left a day early because heavy snow was forecast for the next day. It’s a little off the beaten track and up a steep incline, so access could be difficult if your car isn’t good in snow.

We’re here for the weekend and would happily come back. It’s good value, dog friendly, and has two bedrooms, two bathrooms, and a kitchen with everything we needed. The furniture is comfortable, the owner communicates well, and there are great local walks and very good restaurants nearby. Recommended 😁🏴

The access road needs attention. It’s single track with no passing places, has deep potholes, and is overgrown at the sides. The accommodation is open and well kept for the most part, but gets very cold in cooler weather and the heating struggles. There is a log burner, though you have to bring your own logs and clean it out.

The converted barn is lovely, comfortable, and dog friendly. The owner is friendly and informative, and we had a really relaxing stay. Recommended, and we’ll be back.

A great place to stay, and dogs are welcome. The converted barn is very spacious, with an open-plan layout, an open fire, TVs in every room, and two en suite bedrooms with a choice of bath or shower. The accommodation is on the first floor, above storage, so there’s nobody underneath. There’s parking for two cars. The garden is a small patch opposite the front door, so you do have to go outside to reach it. It’s very quiet, down a dead-end road past the reservoir. The town is two miles away, so you’ll ideally need transport. Morrisons is the nearest and most convenient supermarket.
