Overlea Coach House

We regretted booking only two nights. There are so many good places nearby, and we managed a hike up Snake path to Kinder Scout Charged Rock, an evening in the pool, then a film with wine and cheese. The next morning, rain was falling as we sat in the hot tub and watched the sky brighten. The cottage feels homely and unusual, beautifully decorated with a lot of imagination behind it. We came home inspired by Overlea Cottages and even stopped to pick up a few things for our own place. It was easy to imagine living somewhere like this. The hosts have thought of the practical details too, from appliances and utensils to basics like eggs, milk and bread. The cottage sits in an idyllic spot surrounded by lovely countryside, with great trails right on the doorstep. We were struck by the sounds, smells and atmosphere as soon as we arrived, and spent a good while taking in the work that had gone into making it such a special place. Thanks for an amazing visit.
