The seafood risotto was amazing, packed with mussels, clams, squid, prawns, scallops and langoustine. It was cooked al dente and felt like something you'd find on the Mediterranean coast. There's also a lovely shaded spot to sit outdoors.

After how much we enjoyed our first visit, we came back to The Swan and had another great stay. We spent the day out in the Peak District, then returned to a friendly, traditional pub for a delicious meal and some wine. Since we were staying upstairs, we didn't need to worry about driving after drinks. The rooms are modern, very clean and well equipped, and the staff are brilliant. The food was delicious, too. We'd highly recommend a visit to The Swan.

The meal was awful. My roast was overcooked, and the roast potatoes were frozen. There wasn't much choice, and the staff were talking loudly in the open kitchen while rock music played, apparently the only music for diners. This used to be a fantastic restaurant, but it's gone downhill very quickly.

We spotted The Swan Inn while out driving and turned back to try it. Glad we did. It's a lovely little pub with a nice atmosphere, good food and wonderful staff. We'll be back.

We had a brilliant stay. When my car froze and delayed our departure, the staff came to help with warm water and anti-freeze, and suggested a lovely walk to pass the time. The room was cosy and warm, dinner and breakfast were delicious, and the service was great. We'd definitely recommend staying here.
