Brent Knoll Inn

The welcome from the lovely lady was warm and friendly, but sadly that was the best part of our visit. We’d come in for the Thursday deal, chicken fajitas and a pint for £10. I wasn’t expecting a huge meal at that price, just fresh chicken, onions, peppers, wraps, salsa and a little salad. Instead, the chicken was reheated, overcooked, mushy and stringy, with two tiny tortillas and a pile of lettuce. There was no salsa, sour cream or cheese, which I’d expect with fajitas, and the food was dry and bland. We were starving after travelling, so ate it anyway. I understand it was a special offer, but with such poor execution, the deal feels pointless. Maybe they could rethink it and serve better quality food for a still fair price.
