The converted barn apartment was bright, nicely furnished and spotless, with plates, cutlery, a microwave and toaster. Breakfast was included, with cereal, bread, jam, croissants, tea, coffee and orange juice. The farm tour was a lovely extra: we saw the animals and got to feed some camels, and the dogs were friendly too. The people running the place made it feel warm and welcoming, and there’s a pub about a five-minute walk away with really good food. We only stayed one night and wished we’d booked longer. You can hear planes because it’s right next to Luton airport, especially at bedtime, though I got used to the noise and they provide earplugs. It’s a beautiful, relaxing old place. I’d definitely go back, 10 out of 10.

The lake view was gorgeous, and we had lovely warm pastries in the morning. The people were so nice, and the kids had a great time with the animals. Sadly, we couldn’t take the youngest dog home as a keepsake.

The rooms were clean and had everything we needed. I loved the warm croissants they brought us in the morning. The place itself is amazing. I did feel a little sorry for the owls in cages, though that’s just my personal superstition.

Gorgeous villas, cute animals, and a stunning setting. You won’t regret staying here!

The animals are well looked after, and the farm is lovely. Service was great too. My only wish is that there weren’t planes flying overhead so early.
