We ended up here because the hotels in Letchworth and nearby were booked. The rooms were fine, with a quaint character, and the main house is amazing. There’s lots of parking and the staff are very helpful. Breakfast was a buffet with plenty of choice. It has more personality than a branded hotel, but it’s quirkier. If stairs are a problem, check before booking, as some rooms are upstairs and some are on the ground floor.

The tutors made the workshop a warm, supportive place to learn, with plenty of material to work on and room to challenge ourselves. It was my second time taking this three-day residential jazz course, and I enjoyed it just as much as last year. The staff were friendly and helpful, and both the accommodation and catering were excellent. I really hope I can come back next year.

Good food, attentive care for guests, and enough room for several working ensembles as well as evening get-togethers. It’s a great place to run a music course.

I’ve done two of Benslows’ courses and am already looking to book a third. The rooms are cosy and spacious, with everything you need. Staff are always so considerate, and the food is consistently prepared to a good standard. I’d definitely recommend it, even just as a bed and breakfast.
