Premier Inn Hitchin Town Centre

The breakfast was really good and great value. Staff were fantastic from check-in right through to breakfast, and the room was clean and comfortable. It even had a bath, which made for a very happy soak in hot water. A great place to stay, and I'll definitely return.

I stay at Premier Inns most weeks, and the team at the Hitchin Premier Inn are among the nicest staff I've dealt with. I especially wanted to thank “Nat”, part of the site staff team at this particular Premier Inn. I believe he's a real asset to the hotel and business. Nat, you're a superstar.

I've stayed here many times and it's always been pleasant, clean and comfortable, with a fair price for what's offered. But I can't afford, or even consider, paying more than £185 a night this Christmas while visiting family. That's far too expensive for what Premier Inn provides. At the end of the day, it's not a boutique hotel. Frustrating.

Across the road there's a big Sainsburys if you want snacks for your room. The breakfast spread was excellent: a hot, well-cooked buffet-style full English, with poached eggs made fresh if you ask, plus continental options, cereal, toast and crumpets. There were jams, marmalade, peanut butter, tea and coffee too. The little bar also serves as the breakfast room, and the food was excellent. The rooms were clean and nice, and the staff were lovely and helpful. Couldn't fault it, and I'd definitely come back.
