Pellcroft Cottage

Sara is an excellent host, and all the small details are taken care of. The welcome package had farm eggs, bread, milk, beer and wine. The place is very clean, the kitchen well stocked, the shower hot, and the bed fantastic. It's a good location, about a 15 minute walk into Holmfirth. I've stayed twice and will definitely be back!

Really good value, with thoughtful touches like bread and milk. The local Coop is just 2 minutes away, and town is a 15 minute walk. There's also a bus stop 300 yards away if you don't fancy the walk. Great holiday cottage, highly recommend stopping here.

I stayed for a week and loved this cosy, comfortable little cottage. It's ideal for one person or a couple, has everything you need for a few days or longer, and is in a very quiet spot with secure parking. Holmfirth is 5 minutes away by car, with bars, restaurants, art galleries and craft markets, and everything else is a short drive away. There are also nice countryside walks for anyone feeling adventurous. The fridge had bacon and eggs for breakfast, with bread and milk, plus a small bottle of wine and a bottle of beer. A nice touch. The cottage is around 200 years from a late night, well stocked co-op and 300 years from a warm, friendly pub, the Wooldale Arms. Sara was a friendly, helpful host, available if I needed anything but otherwise left me to enjoy the stay. I'll definitely come back, thanks very much, and see you next time.

We only stayed three nights, but the cottage was so cosy and comfortable that we would've been happy to stay longer. It had everything we needed and more, including butter, bread, eggs and milk, plus cereal, tea and coffee in the cupboards. There was also a hairdryer, iron, towels and toiletries. It's a great spot for walking, trail running and cycling. Sara was friendly and approachable. I messaged her before we arrived to arrange a surprise birthday cake for my partner, and she left me the best fruit cake ever, with candles. Even a huge lightning bolt that knocked out power across the area for about 5 hours didn't put a damper on our stay. I highly recommend this cosy little cottage.
