A lovely campsite in a peaceful, beautiful spot that really lets you get away from it all. Sandy and Jim were attentive, welcoming hosts with a genuine love for the Lakes. Scafell Pike is just a short distance away. We’ll definitely be back. If I could give 1 stars I would!

The views and the peace here were amazing. We spent two nights in our camper van, and Sandy and Bruce were really friendly and helpful. The toilets and shower cubicles were superbly clean and tidy. They even leave the doors latched open when the facilities aren’t being used so they can air out. There’s a beach nearby that used to be a military firing range, but it’s now a nice place for a walk. There’s also a Roman fort and a castle close by if you’re into history. We paid £10 per night for electric hookup. Such a lovely place, highly recommend it, and we’ll definitely return!

Bruce made everything easy, showing us around and explaining things, and kindly lent us a power cable when ours was too short for the van. The facilities were lovely and clean, with great views and a wonderful atmosphere. It’s my favourite campsite so far. Thanks for such a lovely stay, I’ll 100% be back. 😊

The little extras made this place feel so welcoming. There were handmade items for chilly evenings, games, books and s’mores kits for a small fee, plus an honesty box. We also had a fire pit brought over with a big bucket of wood, again for a small fee, which made the evening cosy. The site was clean and tidy, with places to wash up and wash and dry clothes. Bruce and Rachel were absolutely lovely and couldn’t do enough for us during our one-night camping stay. Thanks, we’d definitely visit again. Ben and Karla

We were greeted warmly, and everything in our pod was great. The view was sublime. A fantastic place to stay if you want to switch off, enjoy stunning scenery and have the northern Lakes right on your doorstep.
