The Boot Inn

We called late on a busy bank holiday Sunday to ask about a table, and they managed to fit us in. The staff were so friendly, and the Sunday roast was fantastic. They also did a brilliant job catering for my husband, who's vegetarian. A great value pub in stunning scenery. What more could you want?

Seventeen of us ate together, and every meal arrived at the same time and was just as good as the rest. The chefs did a great job. We had a fantastic evening, with superb food and a really friendly team. Thoroughly recommend, and thanks for a great night.

We were starving after reaching the top of Scafell Pike and started looking on Google Maps for somewhere with good food. We found this place, and wow, the food was on another level. I live in London, but honestly, I'd come all the way back here just to eat and then head home again. The staff are lovely and welcoming, and the atmosphere is great. I recommend it 💯.

This has become my favourite place in the Lakes by miles. I've lost count of all the great meals we've had here. The pictures show the lamb hot pot, which was delicious, the fish pie, which was perfect, and a Sunday roast rump of lamb that was the best I've had in years. The vegetables were lovely and cooked just right. You can tell everything is made with care. Service is warm and friendly. If you're in the area, go!
