I came down from Slight Side in the late afternoon, thinking I’d earned a pint. Then it occurred to me I’d probably have several, so I might as well stay. The staff were great, and I got a really nice room with its own door outside and a massive bed. No joke, massive bed. The food is famously fantastic, and it’s a fantastic place to be.

After we got lost on a mountain hike, ending up at the Wolfpack Inn was just what we needed. The food was very nice after a long walk, and the staff and locals were incredibly friendly and helpful. Hikers should pop in, you’ll feel welcome as soon as you arrive. Love Jamie and Chris the 2 woolies

Breakfast was a lovely start to the day, thanks to Amanda, who was attentive, friendly, and really caring. Dinner the night before was fantastic too, and the team made us feel right at home. The food and relaxed, friendly atmosphere were just what we wanted while away. We stayed at Woolpack Inn/Lodge and ate at the Hardknott Bar & Café. From check-in, everyone was warm and welcoming. Nelly the dog’s cuddles were a sweet extra. We left relaxed and well looked after, and are already looking forward to returning. Thanks for such a memorable visit.

We had a lovely, memorable stay in a beautiful valley, with great views and tastefully done rooms. The service went above and beyond, and the food was delicious, especially the pizzas and cooked breakfasts. There’s a good choice of beers and a fireplace too.

I’ve been coming to the woolpack inn for drinks and food for years. It’s an amazing place, with really friendly, professional staff, loads of choice on the menu, and very reasonable prices. There are some awesome hikes nearby if you fancy a walk, then you can come back for a hearty meal and drinks. Totally recommend it 🙏😎
