John and Rondi were so friendly and knowledgeable, and we’ll definitely return. We had this beautiful house for a family weekend in December and had the best weekend ever. It’s an atmospheric historic manor, yet so comfortable and welcoming. The furniture, decorations, bedrooms, kitchen and everything else couldn’t be faulted.

Even with showery weather, our family had the holiday of a lifetime. The house is fantastic, with loads of rooms, and John is a great host. The barn and games room got plenty of use, as did our trips into Bude, which isn’t far away. It all made for a memorable holiday. It felt like living in a National Trust home, amazing 👏

We loved walking around the lovely gardens and grounds, using the hot tub, and reading on sunny afternoons. The house is beautiful, with stunning rooms and plenty of space for the whole family. The hosts are warm and friendly, and always happy to help with requests or assistance.

We spent a week here for a family get-together, with 15 of us staying, 9 adults, 6 children and a dog. There was heaps of room, and everyone was comfortable. The gardens were great for lawn games and for the kids to run around, and the hot tub was lovely after all the running about. We also used the table tennis in the outside barn and the small pool table indoors, so there was always something to do. A beautiful house and location, with lots of history and stunning grounds.

The house had everything we needed in the kitchen, spacious bedrooms decorated nicely in a vintage style, and good central heating and water pressure throughout. Our group of 12 fit comfortably, and there are various rooms to relax in. The grounds are beautiful, full of wildlife and ideal for walking our dog. We enjoyed the barn’s outdoor games on the large front lawn, and the hot tub was a nice treat. Shops are nearby, while Bude and other coastal areas are a short drive away. Exmoor Zoo is further, but still doable as a day trip. A beautiful house and grounds with lots of history. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
