The rooms were lovely, and the food Wendy prepared was full of flavour with generous portions. We chose our menu with Wendy, the highly skilled resident chef, and she really delivered. Two guests had dietary requirements, which she handled with suitable replacement dishes. Every plate was cleared, and a few waistbands had to loosen! Huge thanks to Wendy, her team, and the hardworking waiting staff. Our wedding at Cley windmill on 17th September 2025 was just what we'd hoped for: small and intimate. The venue was perfect, and all our guests fell in love with it too. The service took place in the main tower, drinks were in the cosy lounge, and we had the main reception in the garden marque, dressed in our chosen colours. It looked just as we'd imagined. The get-together the day before helped everyone get acquainted, and the team put on a stunning BBQ-style buffet. Those ribs were to die for! The day itself was flawless. The staff were attentive without hovering, and nothing was too much trouble over the two days. If you're after a quaint, charming, characterful place for an intimate wedding, you really can't go wrong with Cley Windmill. The setting and service were stunning, and we wouldn't change a thing. Some of the rooms had small maintenance problems: one bedroom door was difficult to lock and unlock, and a few bathroom fittings were very worn. The wedding breakfast menu and prices were confusing and seemed to change whenever we spoke to the chef, though Karla helped get that sorted. Communication could have been quicker, but we understood they'd lost their other wedding planner. The bar was often unattended. We had the maximum number of guests, and think the level of use may have caught them by surprise. These things didn't take away from our experience. We had a brilliant wedding at Cley Windmill and will remember it fondly. We booked the Friday-to-Sunday package so family and friends could stay with us. It's a beautiful, characterful venue in lovely Norfolk countryside, within walking distance of the sea. The rooms were lovely, breakfasts were good with veggie options, and the wedding breakfast was tasty and plentiful. Karla was friendly, organised, and seemed genuinely excited about our wedding. The other staff were friendly too, and relaxed and calming on a busy day. The suppliers we met at the wedding fayre and booked were all brilliant, shout-out to Bertie and Bev. I'm sure we'll visit again.

We had 23 guests, and Cley windmill was just right for our small wedding party. The rooms are lovely and the food is great. Karla and the team made the day perfect. We only wish we could do it all again. Thank you, windmill!

Lunch was delicious and plentiful, and the staff were friendly and attentive. We sat in a lovely room overlooking the reed beds. We'll certainly visit again soon.

The rooms and location at Cley Windmill are stunning, and the food was so good that everyone commented on it. We all left very full! From our first contact, the whole experience was amazing. The staff were friendly and flexible, and the service was faultless. We had an incredible wedding day and will definitely be back. Five stars doesn't feel like enough. Thank you for making our stay so perfect!
