You might get a room with no wardrobe, very cramped space, irregular servicing and a tiny bathroom sink. One bed was squeezed under stairs that were in constant use every evening, and the TV didn’t work. If you phone the owners after 11pm with a problem, there’s an extra £100 charge. The staff acted superior. At best, this is a cheap place for one night.

The loud water heater kept firing up every 30 seconds from around 2am to 6am, leaving everyone awake and too tired to enjoy the next day’s plans. It really affected the rest of our short family holiday. I mentioned it at breakfast and was told the manager would get in touch, but nobody called. I followed up by email and still heard nothing. I’d already had to pay at check-in, so couldn’t query the cost then. Terrible customer service, and very disappointing.

We had a fabulous weekend celebrating my husband and sister’s double birthday. The food was amazing, and the staff at The Bluebell couldn’t have done more for us.

We stayed three nights over Valentine’s and had a fantastic time. The rooms were great and really comfortable, the pub staff were friendly and helpful, and the food was wonderful. Highly recommend.

The room and beds were very comfortable, and the food at Blue Bell pub was amazing. A fridge and microwave in the room would have been nice, though.
