We went in May and had a really relaxing stay. The room was comfortable, with a modern look that still felt rustic, and breakfast was delicious and filling. We even made room for a slice of cake from the nearby Deli later. Cley is a wonderful place, and this spot is right at its heart. I can imagine it gets busy in summer, so I’d recommend using the extra parking at the village free car park.

We dropped in for lunch without booking and were impressed by the flavours. I had oysters followed by a venison burger, while my wife chose a cheese toasted sandwich and soup. There’s a nice range of beers too. I wasn’t staying, though I understand they have Rooms as well. What a lovely place.

This was our second stay. We had a double aspect room on the first floor with views over the marshes, and there’s off-road parking behind the pub. We enjoyed the Sunday roast, then spent some time relaxing in the beer garden across the road in the sunshine. Cley’s on the coastal hopper route, which we used every day to get around.

I was walking the Norfolk coast path and arrived a little early on a very wet, shortest day for me. My room, number 2, was already ready. The staff were welcoming and friendly, and the room was comfortable. I had dinner there and arranged breakfast ahead of time, including the time.

We stayed in the coach house for a wonderful weekend. The food and drinks were brilliant, and there’s clearly a great chef working behind the scenes. The staff were friendly and so helpful. Dogs are welcome throughout too.
