Premier Inn Chippenham

The room was warm and the beds were comfortable and clean, once the heating had been turned up. We booked a twin room, but had to ask for the bed settee to be made up when we arrived. We could have used more pillows, but I was too tired to go ask. The shower water was lovely and hot, though the room itself was shabby and needed attention. The Brewers Fayer, which provides the hotel’s food, had stopped serving tea and coffee by the time we got there at 8pm. The hotel is on the outskirts of Chippenham, about a 10-minute drive away.

Free parking was a nice extra, especially compared with Holiday Inns, which charge extortionate rates for it. We stayed one night and thought the hotel was brilliant. The staff were friendly, the room spotless, and breakfast was the best I’ve ever seen. We’ll definitely come back in spring 26.

The room and bathroom were really clean, and the heating was just right. Staff were super friendly. We did have a problem with the key card, but they made fixing it a priority and sorted it within a couple of minutes. Easy to get to as well.

For a one-night stay after a night out, this place had everything I needed: a clean room, comfortable bed, TV and kettle, all at a reasonable price. It’s near the motorway, but I couldn’t hear it. Breakfast was good and I had no complaints.
