The White Horse Blakeney

We booked for a special occasion, and the staff took extra care to make it a great experience. The food was excellent and served with real kindness. I’d definitely recommend it and come back.

I had a nice one-night stay at the White Horse. Room 3 was spacious and comfortable, with quality toiletries and tea and coffee, including fresh milk from Reception. The staff were welcoming and the service was good. I arrived earlier in the day and was able to leave my luggage until check-in. When I returned, staff had kindly carried my bag up to the room. The car park is quite compact, but I managed to park elsewhere in the village. I’d suggest providing bottled water in the room and a hairdryer, unless I just didn’t find it.

What might have turned chaotic became a relaxed, delicious and very happy Sunday afternoon for us. We had a great table in the dining room and a lovely roast: chicken, carrots, potatoes, parsnip, green and red cabbage, plus a large Yorkshire pud. Everything was delicious, and the service stayed friendly and professional while the team improvised all afternoon. The staff at the White Horse deserve real credit. Their sister pub, Wiveton Bell, just down the road, had an unexpected electricity and gas failure, sending maybe 100 parties over during the day. The White Horse team handled the extra guests so well, with help from the Bell’s kitchen and front-of-house staff. We’ll happily be back.

Fish and chips with a beer, just right for a Friday on the coast. The batter was delicious and light, without too much of it, the chips were crisp, and the beer went down easily. Staff were attentive and polite. Yes, I’d recommend it.
