The Haven Guest House

A great starting point for trips on Lon Las Cymru! I stayed in 2025, and they found a secure place in the garage for my expensive bicycle. The room was comfortable and breakfast was good. Cheers :)

Check-in was friendly and straightforward, and the location is great, close to both the port and town. My room and en suite shower room were in excellent condition, spotlessly clean, and the bed was very comfortable. It was just right for a simple overnight business stay. I'd definitely come back, for work or a holiday.

BEWARE. The Haven, or someone connected with them, makes fraudulent reservations through booking dot com. When you tell them there's a problem, they refuse to cancel, so they can charge your bank card and take your money. I texted them and then called twice, but they wouldn't answer.

My dad and I stayed one night before taking the ferry back the next day. The view from the room was spectacular, and the beds were comfy. It's a cozy room in a location we loved, just a very short walk from the ferry. For a tasty meal, there's a chip shop two blocks up called The Chippy. I'd happily stay again and recommend it to others. The one issue was the light switching off while you're in the shower or bathroom. That could be dangerous for an older person, and if you're alone, you could easily slip getting out of the shower to turn it back on.
