For my mum's 85th birthday, I took my family here for dinner. There were eight of us, and the whole evening went really well. The food was the best I've ever had here, absolutely fantastic. The staff answered everyone's questions and gave helpful advice on wine and food. They were well trained, exceptionally polite and friendly. Two of our group stayed in rooms, and they came back saying the rooms felt homely, had good countryside views, and the staff had made them feel welcome and settled. Near the end of the evening, the staff and owner came out singing Happy Birthday with the cake I'd ordered in advance. Mum was delighted. Those little touches make all the difference.

We had a very pleasant evening meal here with three adults and two children. There's plenty of space for children, and the staff were really pleasant. The food is much better than the usual gastro pub fare. A very nice place to eat, recommended.

I have to eat gluten free and usually find it hard to choose when eating out, but here I was spoilt for choice. Nearly everything on the menu had a gluten free option, and they even had gluten free breakfast cereal. We stayed one night at the Greyhound country inn and had a lovely time. The staff greeted us warmly, showed us to immaculate, clean, warm and cosy rooms, and we enjoyed a lovely lunch in the restaurant. The bed was comfy, we slept well, and breakfast was delicious. Everything was wonderful.

We were away in Monkton and came to the Greyhound Country Inn for dinner. The food was great, the service was great, and the staff were so friendly. I really liked being able to choose smaller portions from the menu. I wish more places offered that. Brilliant.

The room was lovely, and every member of staff gave amazing service. They went out of their way with dietary needs, even making sure my cocktail was gluten free. There were loads of gluten free options, and the steak dinner was the best we've ever had.
