The room was clean, spacious and comfortable, and the staff were friendly and happy to help. We spent two nights at the Pear Tree and really enjoyed it. They serve snacks rather than full meals, but that wasn't an issue since there are plenty of places nearby to eat, plus themed food vans sometimes set up in the car park. The beer selection is great, and we'd happily stay again.

The exposed beams give this place that lovely old English pub character, and the garden has plenty of seats. Our en suite room was roomy and comfortable, too. We enjoyed the drinks and shared a tasty pork pie from the bar. Everyone was welcoming and friendly. A good spot for a comfortable night's sleep.

We were after a cosy room with a proper old pub feel, and the oak beams and comfortable bed were just right. Check-in was quick and easy, so we could get on with enjoying the evening. The bar serves excellent Hook Norton brewery beer and cider, and it was nice to see plenty of locals and dogs around. There isn't a kitchen, so plan to eat elsewhere, though they do have sausage rolls, Scotch eggs and pasties. We also enjoyed breakfast at the local brewery. Lovely Cotswolds setting, and I'd stay again when passing through.

The ales from the brewery up the road were really good, and the staff were very friendly.

I had a terrible stay, though I'm sure the pub itself is lovely. Please move the bins away from the window or put a shed around them, and don't shift kegs at 10:30 at night. Guests should also be able to have a shower in the morning. I wrote a much longer review earlier, then felt guilty about it.
