The food was well cooked and tasty. We had hot sandwiches with chips and onion rings, and everything was nicely prepared. The pub was quiet when we stopped on our way home from Bamford, but it felt warm and welcoming from the moment we came in. Both people at the bar greeted us with smiles. There was a good choice of beers and other drinks, the decor was nice, and the place was clean. We had a really good visit and will come back.

The pizzas were delicious and good value, and there was a nice choice of beers. The owner was very friendly and kept us entertained, especially with his fire-lighting skills. The pub has a beautiful spot with wide views over the valley. We’ll be back soon.

We had dinner here too, and the pub was spacious and elegant while still feeling cosy. The Italian menu, which seemed new, was really good and a nice change from standard pub food. They also had classics and a good kids menu, plus games to keep us occupied. Our room was lovely, breakfast was excellent, and the staff were really friendly. The view down the valley was a treat, especially since we could see the hills we’d walked the day before.

We stayed one night, four of us visiting Chatsworth Markets. The hotel team were so welcoming and attentive, and the food was good quality. Nothing seemed too much trouble for this family, and I’m looking forward to returning. When we needed a taxi, staff gave us a name and number so we could arrange collection and a return trip. Steve from Penny's Taxi was lovely, chatty and knowledgeable, and we found him trustworthy. We’d definitely use him again and recommend him.

I parked my campervan in the large car park and bought a drink, so the stay was free. The chef was looking after the bar while it was quiet, and he was really friendly. We had a long chat, then the manager returned and was just as lovely, welcoming, helpful, chatty and smiling. I’ll be back when it stops raining!
