The parking deal is good if you need it for a flight. The receptionist on arrival was very nice, but the night receptionist wasn’t particularly helpful or welcoming when we got back. We booked a double and were given three single beds. The sheets were creased and the bed didn’t feel properly changed, and the bathroom floor was gross. They’d moved my car to a different space, which concerned me.

My wife and I have stayed here many times, and we always leave our car because it feels perfectly safe. The rooms are clean and adequate, and they can arrange a return airport trip for just £6 per person. It’s competitively priced, and I can thoroughly recommend it for peace of mind. Mr Green

The bar is bland and expensive, though the room was comfortable. For a group, a cab at £9 is probably better than the slow shuttle at £3 each, especially on the way back. We left our car in the front car park and called when we returned to request the bus. Wish we hadn’t: the stop was quite a long walk away, and the shuttle took 40 minutes and a couple of phone calls to show up. If you need to leave early in the morning, you’ll need to book a cab anyway because the shuttle doesn’t run then. The taxi was very reasonable.

The food was very good, but make sure you bring your third-party booking confirmation. We were told breakfast wasn’t included, even though our paperwork clearly showed we’d paid for it. The room was very clean, but we could hear the person next door filling and emptying the bath. The airport transfer was a short but extremely fast drive. The driver seemed to think he was Lewis Hamilton’s twin brother, and the bags were crashing about in the back. I ride a fast bike myself and enjoy speed, but that trip felt close to dangerous and left me feeling sick.
