We didn’t try the restaurant, which had two AA rosettes, but the bar food was very good and the drinks were priced about average for a hotel. Our garden suite had a large, comfortable bed, bathrobes, and the usual tea, coffee, and biscuits, so we slept well. Staff were friendly and went out of their way to help. Check-in was smooth, and someone showed us to the room and explained its features. Although it’s near Gatwick airport, we didn’t really notice aircraft noise. A nice first overnight stay, and I’d consider coming again.

The venue looked stunning and properly festive, and the food was yummy. I organised our Christmas party, and the Events team made things easy from beginning to end. Everything went without a hitch, with warm, friendly, accommodating, professional staff throughout. Our whole team enjoyed it so much that everyone wants to come back next year. Thanks to the whole team.

The house’s character and history have been preserved with real care, and the atmosphere was lovely. For my mother’s 90th birthday on Sunday 28th Dec, 25 of us booked your room. The staff did a wonderful job looking after everyone and making the occasion memorable, from the food to the ambience. Thank you for making my mother’s day so special.

The place has such a charming, adorable feel, a refreshing change from bland modern hotels. The staff are the nicest people I’ve ever met, absolutely lovely all the way through. I’d suggest leaving written directions for the Wi-Fi and for turning down the room heat, and adding some softer pillows. Still, it’s a wonderful place.
