George was so friendly at the marina and took care of everything, from free overnight mooring to filling the water and doing a pump out. He even offered to help move the boat. I’d called beforehand to ask about a marina with services, and the woman who answered was welcoming and really helpful too. Thanks again!

I eventually found another boatyard to take on the work, so they got the thousands of pounds in repairs and mooring fees. I won’t set foot in Ferry Marina again, and I’d advise others against doing business there. To me, the way I was treated showed arrogance and snobbery, and they lost a paying customer. Last spring I asked the man in charge of moorings about a berth, solar panels, and a paint job for my 23 ft boat. I explained it was a small project with just a few cosmetic jobs, not a major refit. He said they could do that work and gave me his number, asking me to call if I wanted to go ahead. I said I’d compare prices first, then decided on Ferry Marina. When I returned to pay, he wasn’t there, so I left a message with a colleague asking him to call me. I went back about a dozen times with the same request. They said he was busy or out on a call and would pass it on, but he never contacted me. Once, another male colleague asked whether the deal had fallen through because it was a massive project. I explained again that it wasn’t and that we’d agreed to proceed. The younger woman in the office was also rude and arrogant. He hadn’t even seen my boat or a photo of it. I can only guess he ignored my messages because it wasn’t one of their fancy 50K boats. At the very least, he could have called to say no. After all those visits, being ignored was deeply disrespectful and infuriating. I was a paying customer who was ready to spend money, and everyone deserves respect.

We’ve already booked this little boat again for next year. It’s comfortable and easy to handle, just right for two people. The bedroom and bathroom had plenty of room, and the kitchen was laid out well with a good amount of equipment. The boat was lovely and clean, and the staff were very friendly and helpful when we picked it up.

We’ve been holidaying on the Broads for years, and Ferry Marina is well ahead of the other places we’ve tried. We had another great week on Whisper Emblem. Traffic made us late for pickup, but the friendly, knowledgeable staff made the handover quick and easy. When I got confused by some of the high tech onboard halfway through the holiday, they were available by phone to help, thanks David. The boats are kitted out to a high standard, with hotel quality mattresses and bedding, which you don’t often get on boats. Whisper is especially quiet underway, so you can slip in and out of busy moorings without disturbing people. It’s hard to imagine a better way to enjoy the Broads.
