We felt at home as soon as we walked in, and ended up having dinner there instead of going out as planned. The staff were incredibly welcoming, and the food was great. Our room, which we shared between three people for two nights, was clean and really spacious. Breakfast was amazing, especially the scrambled eggs, which all three of us thought were among the best we’d had. I forgot some toiletries, but the staff kindly sent them on to me without charging. Lovely pub and hotel in a beautiful spot. I’ll definitely return.

The Leaping Salmon staff were very accommodating when I booked three rooms for my bridesmaids and me to get ready in before my wedding. Breakfast was delicious, and there was great coffee along with vegan and vegetarian choices. Definitely recommend :)

The car park didn’t make the best first impression when we arrived for a Sunday roast, but stepping inside was a delight. We were greeted warmly, liked the layout, and found a great choice of food. Our drinks and meal were both excellent. I had the brisket of beef, which was melt in the mouth, with plenty of roast potatoes, a good range of vegetables, and lots of gravy in a pouring jug. The chef even came out to ask what we thought. A truly great traditional roast and a lovely experience. Very highly recommended.

The accommodation was very basic and felt a bit like an afterthought when we stayed overnight. The pub garden mentioned on the website was so overgrown that it wasn’t being used. The restaurant and pub were lovely, though, and the staff were very friendly. We had both dinner and breakfast there, and both homemade meals were really tasty.

Our group of 12 had lunch at the Leaping Salmon yesterday. The building is lovely and full of character, and the menu includes veggie and vegan options alongside a great selection of beers on tap. The staff were friendly and took time to explain the menu and answer our questions before we ordered. My risotto was delicious.
