We come from Skegness to visit family, and the Grove never disappoints. The rooms are cosy, clean and warm, with tea, coffee, towels and everything we need, plus a car park. It’s a beautiful old-world pub, with log fires and a very Christmassy feel. The atmosphere is lovely, and the peers Neil and his wife go above and beyond to make you feel welcome. Skelmanthorpe is a beautiful little village, with lovely sights nearby, and this gem is a must if you want to visit the local places. Merry Christmas to everyone at the Grove and Happy New Year. We had a lovely stay at The Grove Inn. The room was clean and comfortable, and the pub was such a friendly, fun place. It really made the trip memorable. I'll definitely come back.

There’s a big covered outdoor area, and it’s a sports pub where younger people come by after their Saturday matches. Local pool and darts teams play or practise here too. Staff are welcoming, dogs are allowed, though I wouldn’t call it a place for children. It’s also a B&B, but I’ve never stayed overnight, so I can’t comment on that.

The Wednesday quiz was a fun extra, and the room was absolutely beautiful. Everyone was so lovely and made us Londoners feel really welcome. If I lived nearer, I’d be in all the time. I’d recommend it to anyone and can’t wait to return!
