Townhouse No 12

Parking right outside is for permit holders, but there’s a well-lit car park across the road that cost just £3.95 for 24 hours. The guesthouse is within walking distance of the town centre and has easy access to the main driving routes. I was in a twin room while working in the area and would definitely stay again. It was very clean and comfortable, with a large desk and chair for my laptop, plus tea and coffee facilities, a TV, fridge, fan and hairdryer. There’s a small sink in the room, while the shower and toilet are along the hallway. An iron and ironing board were available if needed. Credit to the owner for keeping the place so clean and tastefully decorated. The carpets looked brand new. The main entrance uses a key code, and each room has a code box with a separate room key inside. On arrival, call the number on the door and you’ll get a message with the entrance code and room key box code.

I ended up staying for 10 days while I got myself sorted, and Joan kept making sure I had fresh towels, bedding and coffee. She’s a lovely, accommodating host, and I had a great experience with her and the place as a whole. Thank you Townhouse number 12, and Joan deserves so much thanks. I’d recommend it 10/10, and the prices were more than reasonable. I needed somewhere urgently, so I saw the reasonable prices on Booking.com and planned to stay for a few nights. The room was in terrific condition, with clean towels and linen, decent beds and comfy decor.

The bus station and railway station are only a very short distance away, and Aldi is a seven minute walk, open until 10pm. The three toilets and two showers were spotless. Our room was quiet, warm, cosy and very clean, with comfortable beds where we got a proper rest. It had a little fridge, desk, flat TV, WIFI, a sink, a big mirror, an armchair and a window with a nice view of the town. I recommend it to anyone wanting a peaceful place to rest in the town centre. Love it 😍

The townhouse is gorgeous, and the rooms were exceptionally clean and well presented. The bed was amazingly comfortable and spotless too. Joan, the hostess, was a real pleasure: polite, welcoming and happy to help whenever needed. Her customer service was the best I’ve ever seen. I’d highly recommend this place to anyone staying in or visiting Huddersfield.
