Lunch with my wife and dog was a wonderful visit. The staff were friendly, helpful and efficient, and our table was clean, large and well spaced. The food was very tasty, especially the nachos. The wine was decent and the toilets were clean. We had four alcoholic drinks, one shared starter, two mains and two coffees, and paid £98 including service. Highly recommend.

This is only a review of the restaurant, as I didn’t stay here. I ate here a few years ago on a Saturday and it was fine, but Sunday dinner was very poor in my opinion. The food was cold, and the roast beef was tougher to chew than a shoe. If that’s Norfolk’s finest, then there’s Norfolk’n’chance I’ll be back!

Kasha (soz if I’ve spelt that wrong), Sam and the rest of the staff helped us when our rental cottage turned into a holiday nightmare. They were lovely, and their kindness stopped the whole trip from being ruined. Dinner was delicious and brought promptly with a smile, the rooms were comfortable and well appointed, and breakfast set us up for the day. We’d stay again if we were back in the area. Thanks again for looking after us.

We booked Sunday evening dinner for seven adults and three children, but the meal was disappointing for the whole family. The roast dinners were overdone and underseasoned, with the flattest Yorkshire pudding I’ve ever seen. The fish and lasagne portions were small, cold and tasteless. At £25 for a main, I expected more care and quality. We left without ordering more drinks or pudding.

We only stopped in for a drink after work, then decided to eat as well. The staff were great and very attentive. The young dark-haired lad behind the bar who took our food order was especially polite and well mannered. We’ll definitely come in again, 10 out of 10, guys x
