We stayed one night for a function. The staff were friendly and the rooms spacious, but there were cleanliness problems with the crockery and glasses. I was given several dirty glasses with lipstick on during the function and again the next day. At breakfast, the plates and juice glasses were dirty, and the tables felt sticky.

We started our birthday celebration at Lakeside Lodge in Pidley with bowling, which was great fun and a lovely way to kick off the afternoon. The relaxed, welcoming atmosphere worked well for a special occasion. Dinner afterwards was the highlight: some of the most flavoursome food we've ever had, beautifully cooked and presented, and very reasonably priced. Definitely worth visiting if you're in the area.
8/10
The evening meals were fantastic, with great flavour and generous portions, and the staff were brilliant, friendly and helpful. We’ve just come back from a two-night golf trip. The course was interesting, though a little tired, with really poor tee boxes.

We've been coming for many years as a large golf party. The alpine lodge-style accommodation suits the setting, and the course layout makes for a good challenge, though the greens, tees and fairways could use more TLC. The bar was good, with bowling alleys next door. We didn't use the spa. The staff were excellent, and the food has improved a lot over the years.

Had lunch at the lodge and it was a stunning meal for a fantastic price. I'll be visiting more often!
