Sandford house is probably one of THE best Wetherspoons we've visited. We stayed for two nights, and Rebecca greeted us after running over from the bar when we checked in. We also met some of the bar team, especially Jason. Sorry we didn't get to meet his partner and the Sandford's manager, Sarah. Everyone we dealt with was friendly and polite. Food arrived piping hot, and tables were cleared and cleaned quickly. There are several places to sit with a drink or meal, including one area with an amazing wood burner and five tables. Outside, there's plenty of seating for smokers and non-smokers, bike stands and a covered area. It's well lit at night. The highlight came when I needed the ladies' toilets. The upstairs ladies' area is huge, with sofas, lots of mirrors and a fabulous central handwashing facility, see video. There are five access points, and I think two are wheelchair friendly. The only downside was no parking, as it's right on the edge of Huntingdon town centre. The rooms are clean and spacious, with air con and heating, a TV, two bottles of water, tea and coffee, an iron and board, a hairdryer and a walk-in shower. It was a lovely short break. Thank you all.

We stayed somewhere else, so I can't speak to the accommodation, but the pub is worth a go. It's a large place over a couple of levels, with loads of seating, and both floors are wheelchair accessible. I liked the copper washbasins in the men's toilets, a nice touch. There's lots of outdoor seating, and the location is great. Huntingdon is Oliver Cromwell's birthplace. Most Spoons hotels are good.

It's a roomy but snug place, spread across two historic buildings and the annex between them. The usual Weatherspoons food is good value, with table ordering, and the helpful staff made us feel welcome. Wheelchair access is available at the entrance, with plenty of ground-floor tables and a small lift for anyone who needs to get upstairs. It's not as historic as some pubs in Huntingdon, but still worth a visit.

What struck me first was how popular and busy the place was, yet the staff stayed friendly, professional and helpful, and the whole visit ran smoothly. Service was quick, efficient and well organised even with customers constantly coming through. Prices were very reasonable for the quality, and it had a welcoming atmosphere. I had a great visit and would happily recommend it. Good value, efficient service and a lively crowd made the experience enjoyable. I'll definitely come back.

The prices are fantastic, and that's why I'd recommend going. You get decent food for a good price, though it's nothing special. The location is cool, and the temperature depends on where you sit. Service was okay.
