We’ve been coming to Summerfield Campsite for around 8-9 years and are hoping to fit in another couple of visits in 2024. The owners are easy to communicate with when booking, and dogs are welcome on leads. It’s a simple, clean site, with pitches offering the option of electric hook-up. The bathrooms are tidy, and we’ve never had to queue. There’s a fridge and microwave in the kitchen area, too. The big field gives children room to play, or you can relax by one of the provided campfires or get a group game of rounders going.

A great place for a big family get-together. There’s loads of room for children to run about, and the pitches are large. Campfires are available, the washrooms are clean and tidy, and the owners are really friendly. There’s also a very good pub directly across from the site.

There’s plenty of flat ground for pitching tents and letting the kids play games, with some shade around as well. Carl and Fiona have clearly put a lot of work into the site and its facilities. The toilets and showers are clean, and sitting around the open fires with drinks and a chat is the best part.

We’ve returned lots of times. It’s a relaxed, friendly site with plenty of space and open fires, and the owners are lovely. The toilets and showers are definitely the best, and there are fridges in the washing-up room too.

Peaceful, clean and good for families, with fantastic owners and a great location. Well worth visiting for a bit of a getaway.
