The location is easily the best part of this hotel, right by the sea, and the staff were fine. The rooms are a decent size for the reasonable price, and the standard is basic. Still, many parts of the property need renovation, including both rooms and shared areas. Single-glazed windows let in the street noise. The bathroom has no heat and gets cold on chilly days, especially during a shower. When occupancy is low, the main heating may be turned off and replaced with a small portable heater. There is no room heating control either, so it can sometimes become uncomfortably warm. Beds are average, the mattresses feel a little worn, and the pillow is quite firm. Breakfast isn't included, though there's a bar serving drinks. You'll need to pay a deposit on arrival, and the room is checked before checkout. The lift is tiny and holds at most two people, so luggage could be awkward. Parking is limited to a few cars, with no reservations; otherwise you have to park on the street, which may be difficult in summer because the hotel is right by the sea. Staff were okay, nothing special.

The lobby was good, and the beach is right next door, which is a great location. But our room was untidy, with hair and stains all over, and the kettle hadn't been cleaned, with milk or food residue inside. The room card didn't work, service from staff was poor, and the entrance to the rooms is through a restaurant where the staff were rude. Housekeeping and staff training need improvement.

A quiet, relaxing break would suit this place well. It's right by the beach, with the high street about a 10 minute walk away. The rooms are a nice size, and the staff were friendly and helpful.

At the price per night, I have no complaints: the rooms were clean and the staff nice. There wasn't any food available during our stay, though I'm sure that may have changed.

We booked three rooms for one night after a long drive, ahead of an early LeShuttle trip. The sea views from the bright, spacious rooms were lovely, and the beach and Waterfront bar were across the road. The grandkids especially liked that the rooms had two levels. They were clean, and the decking out front was a nice place to sit if you were using the hotel's bar. The smell from its Indian restaurant was pleasant, though we didn't have time to try it. The car park was tiny and didn't look very inviting, so I imagine most guests use the free roadside parking out front. There were a few niggles that didn't matter much for one night: the pillows were too firm, the fan was useful in the heat but ours was thick with dust and fluff that flew around, water pressure was really poor in two of the three showers, and one sink had no plug.
