The food was a real highlight, from the best hummus we’ve ever had to a delicious beetroot tart and breakfasts cooked exactly as we asked. Victoria, the Assistant Manager, gave us outstanding service, and Laure was a charming waiter that evening. We stayed in two comfortable dog-friendly cabins and a double classic bedroom. High Corner is right in the New Forest, with ponies and donkeys nearby, and sits at the start of a lovely walking circuit that passes another pub halfway round. A fantastic overnight break for my sister, daughter, granddaughter and me.

We’ve stayed in the area many times, but this was our best visit yet, and we’re already planning a summer return. The rooms were comfortable and well cared for, and the dog-friendly extras were thoughtful: towels, little jackets, balls for walks, and even an outdoor bath for muddy paws. Everyone on staff was warm and welcoming, especially the woman running breakfast, who was attentive and gave us great local walking tips. We felt at home straight away, and nothing seemed too much trouble.

A great place to stop for breakfast before an 8-mile hike. The food was amazing and the staff were lovely. There are plenty of picnic tables, and I imagine it gets busy when the weather’s good. Join the loyalty club for better value.

Jay made my birthday breakfast feel special, looking after us from the moment we arrived. He was welcoming, polite and genuinely friendly. My wife treated me, and it was a real treat. 10/10, I’d absolutely recommend it.

The High Corner Inn’s Supper Club tasting menu was full of delicious dishes featuring local, seasonal ingredients. We also loved how creative the menu was while the place still felt like a cosy forest pub. The staff took great care of our group and kept the evening flowing smoothly. A lovely spot for good pub dining, whether you live nearby or are just passing through the Forest. We’ll be back.
