Janet and Neill really are the perfect hosts. They think of everything and provide what you need, and they made sure our stay was just right. The lounge is welcoming and the breakfast room exquisite; our bedroom was clean, bright and airy. Janet gave us a map of great hangman that definitely helped on our journey back. Nothing was too much trouble. Having a drink and a chat around the bar felt like we'd known them forever. Don't change a thing, you've got the formula for a great stay.

We only had one night at The Poplars, which was a shame. The hosts were super friendly and helpful, the room was clean and comfortable, and breakfast was delicious. Everything felt relaxed, just what you need. They kindly let us use the drive for 30 minutes after we got back from walking the coast path, which was very generous. A highly recommended guest house. Breakfast was 10/10, and the whole place had a cosy, welcoming feel. The room was spotless, as was everywhere else. The owners are two of the loveliest people, so genuinely welcoming. Don't hesitate to book, you won't be disappointed!

The breakfast was smashing, and our room was clean and comfortable. After a hot day out hiking, we cooled off with a swim, then had a drink at the bar and followed the hosts’ food suggestions. They were super friendly, and we had a great stay at this lovely guest house.

We loved sitting in the comfy lounge and bar, with a pool table there too. Breakfast was delicious and made with local produce. Our room was spotless, with a really comfortable bed, a lovely powerful shower, and a balcony looking down over the garden and pool. The hosts had thought of everything.
