We were sorry we couldn't stay longer. The lodge is surrounded by peaceful fields and wildlife, and has tables and chairs in the garden and by the pond. There are footpaths through the fields and to the main road. Inside, the bedroom, bathroom and kitchen were updated, nicely decorated and well equipped, with lovely robes that made it feel luxurious. Ann was a lovely host. A welcome sign, delicious brownies and a tea and coffee station were waiting for us. We opted out of the complimentary continental breakfast because we had our own plans, though I'm sure it would have been great. Such a serene, picturesque stay.

Dan really knew how to make us feel welcome. Each day we returned from our activities to a made bed and a room that had been fully restocked. The room was so cosy and tidy, with very comfortable beds, and the homemade granola, crumpets and brownies were amazing. After a tiring nine hour drive from Belgium to visit friends, arriving at the lodge felt like a wonderful sight. We stayed three nights and would definitely choose it again when we revisit them.

The homemade breakfast treats were such a lovely start to the day: delicious granola, fresh crumpets with just the right amount of butter and homemade jam, plus little bottles of fresh juice. We spent two nights at Hayeswood Lodge and could easily have stayed a week. It's a lovely find for a quiet, relaxed break from everyday life. We first arrived after dark thanks to the accommodating late check in, and our host was there with a smile despite the hour. The room was cosy and welcoming, with lovely decor, and the brownies were a great extra. Everything was clean, warm, comfortable and well equipped. After the drive, the Smart TV with Netflix and Prime was perfect for unwinding before a restful night's sleep. In daylight, the surroundings were peaceful and beautiful. We had a nice chat with Dan, then the dogs took us for a relaxed stroll around the garden, where we caught the last of the summer flowers and trees. Five star accommodation, setting and hosts. Thank you!

Dan and Katie are really nice, and the homemade treats were amazing. The lodge was cosy, welcoming and had everything we needed, with a wonderfully peaceful setting. We were very happy and will be back.

We had a fantastic, relaxing stay and plan to come back. Dan and Katie made us feel welcome from the moment we drove in, along with the pooches. They were friendly and accommodating the whole time. They made my birthday extra special with a handmade card and the most amazing brownies in our room, and even lent us an umbrella, seat cushions and blankets when we thought we might sit in the courtyard that evening. Those thoughtful touches meant a lot. The grounds are stunning, and we enjoyed a bottle of red by the pond in the late afternoon. Before arriving, we had lunch at Bottle Kiln. Our room was beautiful and immaculate, and breakfast had the best homemade crumpets and jam we've ever tasted. I also had one of the best night's sleep I've ever had. A huge thank you to Dan and Katie for such a lovely stay. We'd thoroughly recommend this hidden gem. 10/10. Many thanks from Victoria & Lorenc aka (Len). X
