The hosts gave us a really warm welcome and couldn't do enough for us. Everything was clean and comfortable in this thoughtfully arranged cottage. With the quiet countryside and fresh air, it has all you need. I'd happily recommend staying here.

The owners were helpful and very friendly, and the cottage was lovely and comfortable, with some gorgeous little touches. If you bring a dog, there's a private garden and paddock to use.

There's a warm welcome from the owners, who live nearby. The cosy cottage is well equipped and nicely decorated, in a peaceful country setting. It's a smallholding run with care for wildlife and sustainability, and I'd definitely return. Highly recommended.

We've now stayed twice and would gladly come again. Paula and Simon are lovely hosts who were very accommodating with us and our bouncy dog. Our daughter enjoyed seeing the farm animals. On our latest visit, the cottage worked perfectly for three of us for a week, and it's handy for both Derby and the beautiful surrounding countryside.

We've already booked a return visit, which says plenty. Stag Cottage is a quiet, comfortable home from home, with everything needed for self catering. It was all very clean and the bed was comfortable. Set back from traffic along a farm track, it's ideal for a peaceful break, yet only minutes from the village. Paula and Simon were friendly and helpful hosts throughout.
