We had a lovely stay, and the Tube, shops, and restaurants were all about a two-minute walk away. It's a shame so many reviews are negative. Just keep in mind this is 3* accommodation, not 5*.

The mattress was hard as a rock, and the pillows were even harder, old, and lumpy. In the kitchen, the floor was broken and sinking. During my second night the toilet started leaking, and the bathroom filled with a sewage smell. The shower was makeshift, with a grimy showerhead and mould inside. The rooms shown in the pictures don't reflect what you get. In reality, everything felt old, decrepit, and badly in need of renovation. It's an awful place and not worth the money. Stay further from central London and find somewhere cleaner and more comfortable. Avoid it.

The owner came out after we’d spent about an hour waiting while the front desk spoke with the manager. She said we could leave, choose another apartment, or pay extra for a luxe suit. There was no compensation, including for the extra payment, which was the full price. She wasn’t very understanding. After I gave my feedback, she spoke to the front desk and walked away without saying goodbye. Very unprofessional. We chose another place, and had to get a new card twice because it wasn’t working. The original room looked nothing like the pictures. It was filthy, unhygienic, smelled awful, and had broken cabinets and a horrific bathroom. Water from the sink and toilet stank, and the pressure was so bad we couldn’t flush. The kitchen aisle and floors were dirty too. The cleaners used lots of smelly chemicals that didn’t work. The bed was barely a bed. There was no headboard, just a scratched, dirty wall behind it. The mattress was uncomfortable, with old springs that squeaked whenever you moved. The bedding and especially the pillows seemed filthy and old. The walls were so thin we could hear everything. The entrance is tricky too, and if you’re tall you might not get in. We were in apartment 79, where a rooster in the backyard woke us around 7ish am. We asked to switch rooms and were shown a couple of alternatives that also looked nothing like the pictures. All in all, I suggest never booking there, like at all.

The flat was on the fourth floor with no lift, and hauling our very heavy luggage upstairs was a huge struggle. The place was listed on booking platforms, so I expected at least basic cleanliness and accessibility. Instead it was filthy, with bedbugs, dirty floors, a grimy bathroom, and an unpleasant smell. The bedbugs made the stay unbearable. They also took a £200 deposit, saying it would be returned within an hour of checkout. When I asked for it, I was told it would take seven working days. That feels like a complete disregard for guests' trust and money. I stayed one night at Imperial Court Studios, and it was a terrible experience. I can’t recommend it. I’m baffled this listing is allowed on booking sites. Save yourself the trouble and avoid it.
