The Craiglands Hotel, Sure Hotel Collection by Best Western

We ate at the bar and really enjoyed the delicious food. The staff were helpful and accommodating, and our room was clean and comfortable, with tea and coffee facilities. Craiglands Hotel is perfectly placed for visiting Ilkley and the surrounding parts of Yorkshire. We had a great stay and will definitely return. We’ll recommend it to friends and family!

The ballroom was very good, and all the staff we met were pleasant and helpful. The same people seemed to be covering reception, the bar, meal service and clearing up, perhaps that’s a sign of the times. The hotel is well placed for walking into town or heading up the road to Ilkley Moor and Cow and Calf rocks. There’s good parking and the location is good, but the hotel as a whole felt run down and needs refurbishment, especially the bar and dining areas. Our basic double was clean but very small and also needs updating.

The reception team gave us the best service we’ve ever had. They helped with moving rooms and transferring mattresses too. The dinner was disappointing for our large group: they should serve one table at a time instead of bringing the same dish, such as chicken, to all ten tables at once. Would we stay again? Certainly.

The conference ran smoothly, and the well-organised facilities were comfortable and easy to find your way around. Check-in was quick and simple, which got the day off to a good start. Craiglands Hotel felt like a professional, efficient venue that worked well for a conference.
