We celebrated a few birthdays in the family at The Greyhound Inn for the first time. The restaurant was lovely and quite busy with families, and the staff were welcoming and friendly. They suggested a few Indian dishes, which were authentic and tasty. They also serve classic pub food and Sunday roast. The red wine went down well with the Indian food, and the price wasn't too bad for what we ordered. I'd highly recommend it and would go back any day.

The two ladies at the pub were brilliant, and the place itself was great for my one-night business trip. The food was another matter. My fillet steak was nice, but the mushrooms seemed microwaved and the fries were clearly from a bag. Not worth £30. I asked for the dessert menu and couldn't see chocolate brownie. A barman said the Belgian chocolate cake was a brownie, so I ordered it for £8.50. It was just a warmed slice of chocolate cake with no taste, and a mousse-like texture. I only had one bite. I wouldn't eat here again.

The food was decent, the service good, and the atmosphere was nice, especially with Sky Sports on. I've recently moved to the area and tried the food, but the value and quality could send me elsewhere, like Breakspear Arms in Ruislip. I'd recommend improving the mix grill to help retain customers, since it's a popular dish that can bring people back. Increase the chicken tikka to 5-6 pieces and include three lamb kebab pieces. That would make it more like the mix grills at competitors such as Breakspear Arms and The Swan.

The service was good, the waiter was cheerful, and food prices were reasonable. There's also a big car park at the back. But the table seemed unwiped, with plates sticking to it. The food was below average at best. The mixed grill meat looked and tasted old, and the bone-in chicken had very little meat, with too much gristle. The starters were overly salty and extremely spicy. I regretted that the next morning, when I had to visit the toilet at least four times. All in all, a below-average Indian restaurant. I won't be visiting again.

Maxine greeted us and was very helpful, as were all the staff. We had a short stay, a very short distance and taxi ride from the Epilepsy centre, and IVY TAXIS can't be recommended enough. The room was very clean, though a few things in it were getting a bit tired. The inn is very old, and I believe the new management are modernising it. For the price, it was very good value. We had a traditional English evening meal, which was nice, but next time we'd try the Indian food, it looked and smelled fantastic. Unfortunately, there was no breakfast.
