Sabrina was a huge part of what made our hen weekend so lovely. She was quick to help while I was organizing the stay, and she and Sarah cooked dinner for us too. The food was delicious, they handled everyone’s dietary needs, and the guests couldn’t stop talking about it. Sabrina even put together a menu just for us and was so kind. Our bride-to-be was over the moon. There were 18 of us, but Mount Amelia had plenty of room to be together and still have some quiet time alone. It’s a gorgeous place, with lovely interiors and incredible views. The kitchen had everything we needed, along with great speakers, bath products, towels, and some local treats. The location was handy for train stations, supermarkets, and nearby beaches. I can’t recommend it enough.

We’d happily stay longer next time. Ingoldisthorpe Hall is in a great location, with something for everyone, and we had a fantastic time there. We were 8 adults, a child, and three mini sausage dogs, staying for four nights. The house and grounds are beautiful, with huge rooms filled with original details, old furniture, paintings, and books. The kitchen was amazingly well equipped, and the bedrooms and bathrooms were fabulous. There were bathrobes, big towels, lovely soaps, and tea and coffee trays. Everything had been thought of, from the welcome tray and firewood to how spotlessly clean the place was.

The hot tub was the best part, especially with Sonos in the main rooms so you could hear and control the music from outside. We had a brilliant weekend for our hen party, and all 14 of us would come back. The house is beautiful, great for a party, and had loads of kitchen gear, glassware, crockery, cutlery, wooden boards, utensils, and fridge and freezer space. Most of it was immaculate. A few things to mention, though. There were ladybugs in quite a few rooms, especially the bathrooms, which put us off at times. We hadn’t been warned, so I assume it may be a recent issue. The many room kettles could also do with descaling. And a house guide would have been useful. We were caught up in the festivities, so it’s possible we simply missed one. Still, we all had a wonderful time. If you’re unsure about booking, I’d say go for it. It’s a beautiful house and a great backdrop for a party.

We’ve returned year after year for a gathering with friends because the house works so well for a big group. It’s always really well equipped, and the countryside around it is lovely, with the sea close by. The owners have put years of work into restoring this beautiful place. Staying there, even just for a weekend, feels like a real privilege.

Sabrina, the Manager, was tremendously helpful and accommodated us at every turn while we were there for our wedding. We couldn’t have chosen a better venue. Ingoldisthorpe Hall is stunning, and the surrounding grounds make a beautiful setting. We had an amazing weekend with our families, and everyone was thoroughly impressed.
