Easy to walk through the Grange into the village, and it's only five minutes from the arcade and shops. It's a nice, quiet site and we never had any issues. There's an all-welcome bar and a play area at the front, plus a laundrette and morrisons shop. The morrisons is a bit pricey since it's an express, but handy for basics like milk and bread. The work men on site are helpful too.

We ended up shopping at Tesco in Skegness because the mini Morrisons by the park entrance didn't restock fresh bread or milk during our stay. There's no dog walking area, and dogs have to stay on a lead, which makes it hard for them to get proper exercise. You can be fined £75 for parking on the grass, and signs everywhere say to keep cars off it and that ball games aren't allowed. The only children's play area is annexed to the local Bar/Restaurant. We stayed for a week during the school Easter holidays with our grandchildren. Big mistake. This site doesn't cater for children or pets, so be aware of these rules before booking.

We paid £550 for four days in a dated two-bedroom caravan on the chase, and it felt like a waste of money. I’d been looking forward to the break, so I came away deflated, frustrated and disappointed. The curtains were dirty and coming away, the windows wouldn’t close properly so cold air came in, and there was no heating. Even the oven door wouldn’t shut. It looked as if the place had been put together from a job lot on Ebay. I won’t stay at that site again.

It’s a lovely place to stay, with a shop and launderette on site, close to ingoldmells and only a short drive from fantasy island. We were there for 10 days, though, and despite the club house advertising entertainment, I didn’t see any. I was disappointed for the kids, and we ended up going off site to find something to do. We didn’t go back, and the food and drinks were expensive, even though the place itself was lovely.

I was pleasantly surprised by the area on my first visit. It felt safe, and people seemed to look out for each other. This is a caravan park, not a hotel, and I was lucky enough to have friends in high places. There’s a Morrisons on site, which is handy, though like other local shops it can cost a little more for the convenience.
