Caddon View Country Guest House

We had the whole boutique hotel for my bridal party the night before our wedding. In the morning, there was space in the shared areas for hair and makeup, and breakfast could be fitted in between appointments since it was cooked to order. It was delicious, and the host even welcomed us with tea, coffee and cake. The bedrooms were lovely, especially the Yarrow room upstairs, and each had its own clean bathroom and a comfortable bed. We also spent time relaxing in the lounge and conservatory, and the garden was lovely. I can imagine sitting there with a cup of tea after a walk. I’d happily book it again for a group event, and hope to bring my Husband back for a weekend. Thanks for being part of such a brilliant weekend.

It’s just on the village edge, so you’re close enough to walk to local places but still feel a little removed. The room was spacious, clean and had what we needed for a short visit. Breakfast had plenty of choice and lovely local produce. The hosts were so welcoming, and the coffee and scone with jam on arrival were a thoughtful touch.

We came for a short family visit to Edinburgh, where accommodation was too expensive, and had a really comfortable, enjoyable stay here instead. Steve looked after us so well and made us feel relaxed, like he genuinely wanted our stay to go right. I’d easily recommend it.

We only stayed one night in February, but I’d keep this place in mind for a summer visit. The bus to Edinburgh stops right by the gate, too. It’s a cosy b+b with charming staff and good-sized rooms where everything’s close at hand. Dinner was excellent venison, served in a relaxed, unhurried atmosphere.
