We stopped in for Sunday lunch with a friend who lives locally, and had a really good time. The staff were welcoming and friendly, the food and drinks menus were good, and the atmosphere was lovely. We were with someone using a wheelchair and sat outside in the sunshine. The decking wasn’t accessible, but the staff went out of their way to bring us a table and chairs so we could still eat outside and enjoy the beautiful views. Definitely worth a visit.

Before walking up to Minch Moore, we stopped in for lunch. The steak pie was excellent, and both the spare ribs starter and battered prawns were top notch. The place looks great and the welcome was just as good. Our waitress, the owner’s daughter, was friendly and really good at her job. We’ll definitely be back. 10 out of 10, well worth a visit.

It feels like home here. The staff are kind and welcoming, and always have a warm word for you. The rooms are quiet and very clean, and dogs are welcome too. Do try the restaurant. Its menu mixes Scottish and Chinese food, since the chef is of Chinese origin, and everything we tried was excellent: meat pie, creamy pasta and sweet and sour chicken. I highly recommend this hotel.

The only real drawback was the lack of a decent place to store our bikes until 10pm, though luckily our friends were able to keep them for us. Otherwise, it was good value, with super friendly staff, clean rooms and a fantastic range of food. I stayed a few nights a few months ago and would definitely recommend it.

I was made to feel completely welcome during a recent work stopover. It’s a lovely little hotel, the staff were lovely, and my clean room had everything I needed. The food was good too, especially the haddock in fresh batter. I didn’t catch the woman’s name, but thank you for a lovely stay. Chris (piano tuner) x
