The Master Builder’s House Hotel

It was great to finally stay at the Master Builders after visiting the pub many times over the years while sailing in the Solent. I always enjoyed sailing up the Beaulieu river and mooring close by. Our room was in the old part, up two narrow flights of stairs, but it was nice and the huge bed was very comfortable. We had dinner at Henry's, and it was delicious. Breakfast was superb too, with fresh fruit and smoked salmon with scrambled egg that was the best I've ever tasted. The location is superb, with lovely walks along the river.

The meals were delicious, thanks to the ‘cheffing’ team, and Lilly, Alexandra and manager Chris deserve a special mention. All the staff were cheerful, helpful and attentive. We had a lovely room at this wonderful place, and I wouldn't hesitate to return. Thank you all. Geoff M

The setting and surrounding area made such a lovely atmosphere for our wedding. The service was amazing, and everything ran so smoothly that the day felt completely stress-free. It was perfect from start to finish, and we can't recommend The Master Builders enough. We'll definitely come back to stay at the hotel.

It's a beautiful location and well worth visiting. My room felt a little tired and run down, though that may partly have been because my arrangements changed at the last minute. Rooms close to the car park can get noisy from guest activity and their proximity to it. Even so, I'd happily return.
