We paid for a large double with a four-poster bed, but after the shower in our original room turned out to be blocked and unusable, we were moved to a smaller standard room. It was clearly a downgrade, and much noisier too: we could hear conversations, water running in other rooms, and footsteps on the stairs. The host seemed irritated when we asked for help and wasn't welcoming. On arrival, the room was freezing, and we were told to use a small portable heater instead of proper heating. Both rooms were very cold, so we had to use the heater again in the replacement room. Breakfast was disappointing as well, including a pancake that seemed stale. Afterwards, the property refused a refund even though we had clear evidence we'd received a lower standard room than the one we paid for. This wasn't the experience we expected for the price.

My husband and I spent two nights exploring the Inverness area, and we're sure to come back. Ardmeanach House is immaculate. The care the owners put in comes through in every part of this bed and breakfast.

I was in Inverness for business and stayed two nights at Ardmeanach House. Andrea and Grant were fantastic hosts, very welcoming and always ready to help. My room was lovely, extremely clean, and tidy, and the full highland breakfast was one of the best I've had. It's also in a perfect spot, just a short walk from the city centre. I'd happily recommend Ardmeanach to others and will definitely come back. Five stars all round!

We had a pleasant two-night stay. The Yellow Room felt homely and was clean and comfortable. It was very cold weather, and our radiator wasn't working on the second night, so we were glad to have the little electric fireplace. I chose scrambled eggs and smoked salmon for breakfast, and they were delicious. There are several very good restaurants about a 10 minute walk away. Our host was pleasant and experienced, and has run the bnb since 2009.

I stayed here during a Rabbies tour to Inverness and found the B&B much better than I expected. The rooms were spacious and comfortable, and the hosts were friendly. Breakfast was great too. It's a 10-15 minute walk to the riverside and some good restaurants. Couldn't ask for more, thank you.
