The owner was generous and clearly cares about his guests. Before I headed off to explore the Highlands, he invited me to take sandwich supplies, fresh fruit, and snacks for the journey. Breakfast was freshly made porridge with honey from his own garden, too. I stayed just one night, but I can already see why this place gets such good reviews. The room was comfortable and spotlessly clean, with lots of character: colourful painted floorboards, vintage furniture, and thoughtful touches all around. It felt very different from a standard chain hotel. A genuinely lovely place to stay, and I’d happily recommend it to anyone visiting Inverness.

Sergio was a fantastic host and did everything he could for us. We felt very welcome and at home, and I’d be glad to return to his B&B. The rooms are a little quirky but comfortable and homely, and we had the best night’s sleep we’ve had in ages. It’s also well placed, about a 15-minute walk from the city centre.

Sergio was so kind and attentive from the moment we arrived. He even made homemade porridge, offered lunch bags for our outings, and invited us to have a whisky. We also valued having a reserved parking space nearby. Averon House is full of charm and life, very well kept, and set in a peaceful neighbourhood in the heart of Inverness. We felt completely at home, and meeting Sergio made this a wonderful memory for us. His humanity, kindness, generosity, and empathy really stayed with us.

Sérgio made our stay memorable with his warmth and thoughtful hospitality. He welcomed us kindly and served breakfast as though we were old friends, giving our visit a personal, almost magical feeling. We’ll always treasure the memory. The house itself is cozy, inviting, and full of character, with little details that made it feel like a storybook cottage rather than just a place to stay. It’s in a lovely, quiet neighbourhood, yet only a 6-8 minute walk from the city centre, so the location is both peaceful and convenient. We had a wonderful stay at this charming Inverness B&B.

Sergio is an absolute saint. He made us a full breakfast and lent us personal items to help with our adventures. The rooms were extremely clean and had a period-appropriate touch of personality. Staying at Averon house was a pleasure, and I look forward to booking again. Devin & Jash
