Gordonston Apartments

The Wi-Fi kept disconnecting on both our phones and the TV, and it was extremely frustrating, despite the property advertising free Wi-Fi. We also found the door locking system unusual, which made my wife worry that someone might get in during the night, especially after our check-in experience. The entry signage was unclear. At 3pm, we were met by a drunk Scottish man who I assumed was the owner. After about 10 minutes talking with him, the woman at the check-in desk told me he had no connection to the property and she didn't know who he was. While I was checking in, he badgered my wife with drunken stories and offers to get her a drink. He had a glass of what looked like whiskey, seemingly provided on the premises. I found it unacceptable for a hotel to compromise guests' safety like that. The accommodation itself was good quality, but crowded with furniture. Our king apartment had ten seats in the living room despite being for only two people. The decor was tasteful, just too much of it.
