The location worked really well for my friend and me while we spent a couple of nights in Inverness. Having a kitchen was handy for using up leftovers. The place itself was fairly modest, and the shower was a real problem: hot water came with strong pressure, or warm water with hardly any pressure, so showering was difficult.

The bedding was good, and being right in town was convenient, but the stay didn't feel worth the price. The Wi-Fi was out for two of our three days, even after I reported it to the security number. The fire alarm sounded for 30 minutes; we were told by phone to switch it off, but we never found out what had set it off and then had no alarm for the night. The living room felt crowded with furniture and unwelcoming, while the kitchen was as basic as a dorm kitchen. The nightly cost wasn't cheap.

The room itself was in good shape and had been upgraded, though the door dragged on the carpet and took real force to open or shut. It didn't keep out the laundry noise, either. I was in ground-floor room 10, and guests used the shared laundry late both nights, running it until at least 11 pm. At 11:05 pm as I wrote this, someone had just started the dryer within the past ten minutes. Quiet hours mention neighbors, but not paying guests in the building. I wanted to rate the place higher. Many very negative reviews seem to describe conditions from before the previous ownership changed. If you're assigned room 10, and probably room 11 too, bring something to block the noise unless you can sleep through it.

The rooms are spacious and pretty good, and the price feels very fair for the location and overall quality. I'd definitely recommend staying here if you want to explore the Highlands and use Inverness as your base.

Everything ran smoothly, from the self-service arrival to the stay itself. The instructions came by email beforehand, so there were no issues checking in. My room was tidy, clean, and really comfortable, and the cleaning lady was lovely and friendly. A very comfortable, easy stay in Inverness. I'd thoroughly recommend it.
