Rocpool Reserve

The staff were friendly and attentive, and the food was excellent. Our bedroom and bathroom were a good size and well equipped, and there was car parking available. It's a lovely boutique hotel within walking distance of Inverness Town centre. Great value for money, and we had a very enjoyable stay.

The staff were super friendly, the rooms were great, and breakfast and service were lovely. I stayed last night and loved it. Those five stars are well deserved.

The room was extremely comfortable, though we did have a rather large bug sharing it with us, and there are plenty of stairs. We’d heard such good things, but the service felt inattentive at times. They seemed to be covering the hotel, bar, and restaurant with very few staff, and we never saw more than two people working. In hindsight, I’d have booked somewhere else. It didn’t feel worth the price, even though we thought we were treating ourselves.

The food was excellent, and I even thought about staying just for the chef. The rooms were spacious and the bed looked comfortable, but the decor was almost all brown and muted green, and I found it really ugly. It looked nothing like the photos. I’m intersex, and seeing the gender-neutral “Mx.” option on the reservation site made me think the hotel would be welcoming. That wasn’t my experience. Staff ignored my preferences and called me “Madam” or “Ma’am” throughout. I didn’t stay the night. I can’t understand the high rating, and this place wasn’t worth it.
