B&B Hotel Ipswich

The location worked really well for us, close to the station and handy for buses into Ipswich. Staff were lovely and greeted me whenever I came through reception. The room was bright, clean and comfortable, with curtains that kept the light out so we could sleep late. The pillow was too thin for me, though. I used my coat under it on the second night and would bring my own pillow next time. The bathroom was spotless and the shower was nicely hot. A separate towel holder for the hand towel would have been useful, but it’s a small thing. Breakfast had a good range, and the staff member there was very helpful. I was grateful to borrow an iron and ironing board from reception. The door codes were handy too, since there was no keycard to lose. I really enjoyed the stay and would gladly return.

I stay here regularly because it’s clean, convenient and well managed. The staff are absolutely excellent, polite, well trained and hardworking. They’re willing to help with anything.

Jamie was a real help when I booked our rooms over the phone. She listened carefully and went above and beyond, a real asset to the company. Please pass on our thanks to her and the rest of the staff. Reception were all welcoming and helpful, and the restaurant team working on Sunday 3rd August did a great job keeping things in order despite a large, unruly group of young people. Our rooms were spacious, clean and decorated in a calming way. They were quiet too, with a lovely river view. The bathrooms were clean, and the shower was a pleasant surprise, with a head that offered several settings. Breakfast was a fresh, tasty buffet with a nice variety. I’d recommend the hotel to other travellers and would definitely visit again.
